ABOUT US
UDGAM Foundation was established in the year 2018 in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The prime objective of this Foundation is children's welfare. For its mission undertaken on children's wellbeing in society, this organization carries out activities such as -creating awareness on education and supporting them in education, conducting of medical camps for poor school going children, creating awareness on environmental issues & engaging children in environment development activities, running children homes for uncared, Orphanages, dispensaries to the needy, helpless, neglected and downtrodden children in the society.
UDGAM is an NGO in Meerut directly benefitting underprivileged children and their families, through live welfare projects on education. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life: the means because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the future because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues – from healthcare to appropriate social behaviour to understanding one's rights – and in the process, help him/her evolve as a better citizen. We are more focused on the education of girls because if we teach one man we teach one person but if we teach one woman we teach a family and an educated family turns into an educated nation ultimately
PROJECTS
Stationary distribution
There are times when the kids do not even have textbooks even though they wish to study and appear for exams. We, at UDGAM, are trying our best to reach out to many such kids in every possible way. We organised a campaign to distribute stationary material free of cost, amongst the less privileged kids

Monthly Test
We decided to make children strong in Studies and educational activities so we schedule monthly tests and activities classes for Children of UDGAM.
The test has held every last week of the month regularly.

Female Hygiene
Menstruation and menstrual practices are still clouded by taboos and socio-cultural restrictions resulting in adolescent girls remaining ignorant of the scientific facts and hygienic health practices, which sometimes result into adverse health outcomes.
Udgam Foundation under our Women Empowerment reach out to different villages to give information about menstrual & female hygiene.
Diwali Celebration
It was going to be our first experience to do some social work and we were really excited about it. On that day, we had special chief guest from IIT DELHI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, Dr Atul Bal and Mrs Shweta Singh helped us to distribute sweets and education accessories to children and gave motivational speech to children.

Shoes distribution
For an underprivileged child in villages, the path to school is arduous – from the tropical heat to rubble on the streets to stagnant water following the monsoons breeding disease – every step is fraught with danger, quite literally. These children are most often barefoot, while a few wear ill-fitting second-hand footwear or shoes that are fraying to the point of being threadbare from constant use. “YOU WE CAN” came forward and distributed shoes and help our UDGAM’s champs.

Lalkuti Class (Slum Area)
Children are the future of our nation. They learn that what is being taught since childhood. They should be encouraged to study and get a better education. Education is an essential component in a child's life as it enhances their skill, personality and attitude. It is rightly said that "education is the foundation upon which we build our future".
Christmas Celebration
On Christmas, we decided to make the festival special to them. We respect varying religions and cultures and we work in communities where our mission can contribute to develop the village children. We invited Dr. Updesh Verma to give blessing to our champs and make them aware about their health.

Corona Epidemic
In this epidemic of corona virus lockdown, we have distributed food items to needy people in different parts of the city. Our volunteers distributed various food items to the rickshaw drivers and beggars which is living in the slums in Nauchandi Ground. We took proper care of social distance and took proper precautions using gloves, masks and sanitizers,maintaining social distance, washing hands and using masks is so important and informed about the Corona virus.

Holi Celebration
In the classes being run by the UDGAM foundation, in village “Chhajupur” and “Anjoli” we celebrate Holi festival. Dr. Upadesh Verma offers sweets to the children and played Holi by colouring with the children on this occasion and Kanwarpal Singh (Principal of Shashi Prabha School) told the children about Holi and also give the message of brotherhood. We also celebrate Holi in our Slum classes in Lalkurti and Robin Hood Army join us to celebrate holi with our children. Please check below few newspaper articles.

The vision of the UDGAM Foundation is to put continuous efforts into the betterment of mankind. The root cause of most of the problems is poverty. We are working tirelessly to impart our role to cope with poverty. We are also working to create awareness about gender equality and ensure that the girl child also gets equal social and economic opportunities. In today’s world of rapid developments in technology, there are still hundreds and thousands of Children in India who neither have access to nor afford computer literacy and skills to better their lives.
Our vision on the priority list of UDGAM Foundation is to reach out to all the children from disadvantaged backgrounds, which do not have the opportunities for exposure to IT like other children. IT training in professional institutes is unaffordable for them so, we would like to open a Library + Computer centre where we spread the vast knowledge of computers among these children according to their age and we are working on it. Apart from these, our vision is also to make our contributions towards making underprivileged people healthy and economically independent by making them capable to avail various health and employment schemes run by the government.
